Parts Warehouse Associate
About The Position
The Parts Warehouse Associate helps a small warehouse team receive, dispatch, pick, load, unload, package, and ship parts in a timely manner, and assists with other warehouse needs. The role works in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, and safe workspace while meeting productivity and quality standards. The associate organizes warehouse storage and assigned incoming and outgoing parts areas so products can be retrieved efficiently, and sorts products to remove defective material. The position is based in a manufacturing work environment with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise, moving mechanical parts, and weather. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, crawling, and kneeling.
Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch.
- Reliability, a strong work ethic, and excellent attendance.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments according to instructions, routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, written directions, and work orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Receive, dispatch, pick, load, unload, package, and ship parts in a timely manner.
- Assist with additional warehouse needs.
- Complete duties in a timely manner while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage for efficient use of space and quick product retrieval.
- Sort products and remove defective material.
- Organize incoming and outgoing parts in the assigned area while maintaining consistency throughout the department.
