Parts Warehouse Associate
About The Position
The Parts Warehouse Associate pulls stock orders for customers, technicians, and other Yancey family stores. The role also handles daily cycle counts, warehouse upkeep, safe use of man lifts, and a range of receiving, returns, and customer-service activities. The associate should be organized, detail-oriented, and responsive, with basic computer skills, a safety-conscious mindset, and willingness to learn. The position requires multitasking, problem-solving, and providing superior customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; prior warehouse experience is preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to obtain forklift certification.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and occasionally lift heavier amounts with assistive devices.
- Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including email, internet, and basic data entry.
- Problem-solving and multitasking ability.
- Safety-conscious and customer-focused.
- Self-driven and takes pride in work.
- Organized, with a sense of urgency and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
- Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning before receiving stock or billing out items.
- Receive daily stock orders and assign bin locations to items that do not already have them.
- Inspect worn cores before issuing credit.
- Review the previous day's part and core credits to verify receipt.
- Build hoses using proper assembly and contamination-control techniques.
- Pull orders promptly, including branch transfers received before cutoff; deliver shop orders and assist customers with loading.
- Keep the warehouse clean by sweeping and cleaning each day.
- Process and return cores each week.
- Respond to warranty parts return requests each week.
- Purge unneeded items from warranty hold areas monthly.
- Participate in the required safety program and work safely.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
