About The Position

The Parts Specialist I is responsible for providing quality customer service, assisting with parts procurement and data entry, and contributing to inventory management. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to company procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will also be responsible for vehicle and equipment maintenance, and may be required to provide support at other site operations or during emergencies.

Requirements

• 1 year of computer experience
• 24-hour availability
• Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience
• 1 year experience with auto parts

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service, including greeting customers and answering questions regarding parts availability.
• Review requisition forms for completeness and accuracy.
• Research and provide correct parts to customers.
• Assist Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager with assigned duties.
• Drive to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts, providing necessary company documentation to vendors.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy in pricing and quantities.
• Return products to VITEC locations in a timely fashion.
• Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system.
• Assist in entering vendor receiving documents in the inventory system.
• Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle counts.
• Assist in performing counts during Wall-to-Wall inventories at site.
• Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Provide 24-hour support at the city location during emergencies.
• Travel to locations to pick up parts.
• Assist with inventory research projects as requested.
• Adhere to required procedures.
