About The Position

The Parts Sales Representative - Front Counter sells commercial vehicle and equipment parts to external customers at the counter or over the phone. The role also serves account customers and supports sales through the shop, order fulfillment, documentation, returns, and dealership customer-service and marketing efforts. This position is with Rush Truck Centers, a network of commercial vehicle dealerships representing truck and bus manufacturers. The employee must follow other instructions and perform additional duties requested by their leader.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Six months of experience in over-the-counter sales.
Familiarity with accounting and inventory-tracking software.

Over-the-counter sales experience in a dealership or service-setting environment.

Responsibilities

Sell parts to external and account customers over the counter, through the shop, or by phone.
Ensure all parts movements are recorded in SAP in a timely manner.
Keep repair orders updated in Service Link.
Initiate all possible retail orders in Parts link.
Document sales according to Rush policies, including collecting signatures and recording information on checks and credit card slips.
Issue credits for returned parts, verifying the purchase and pricing using the original invoice or its number.
Handle core returns according to procedure.
Complete customer and vendor returns according to procedure.
Maintain orderly records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
Solicit assigned accounts by phone.
Participate in dealership CSI and marketing.
