Parts Front Counter Sales Representative

About The Position

North Central Utility is seeking a self-motivated, results-driven Front Counter Sales Representative to serve walk-in customers, educate them about parts and services, and support sales and store operations. The role also assists with delivery and route operations, order processing, inventory management, warehouse tasks, customer relationship building, and other duties as assigned. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment and post-accident drug testing. The position is full-time and scheduled Monday through Friday on the day shift, with no weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and general technology and computer skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Valid driver's license in good standing.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck, or trailer parts.

Responsibilities

Represent NCU to walk-in store customers.
Educate retail customers about NCU parts and services.
Assist with delivery and route operations.
Answer phones and process orders.
Assist with parts stocking and store organization.
Order parts and fill back orders.
Work with management to reduce excess inventory and increase inventory turns.
Help ensure parts are pulled and ready for daily deliveries.
Process and complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
Load and unload vehicles as needed.
Increase sales volume through promotional sales and activities.
Recommend valuable items to build customer loyalty and identify opportunities for incremental sales.
Build relationships with customers.
Assist with flyer creation.
Assist back-counter parts sales representatives.
Assist in the warehouse.
Sell product features.
Assist with year-end inventory.
Assist the manager as needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
