Carolina Custom Air - Parts Runner
About The Position
Carolina Custom Air, now part of Ace Hardware Home Services, is hiring a Parts Runner to support warehouse operations and field personnel serving the Charleston region. The role includes picking up parts and materials from supply houses, delivering them to job sites, and collecting parts or paperwork from field personnel as needed. The Parts Runner coordinates routes and deliveries with the warehouse supervisor, helps prepare job materials, supports monthly physical inventory, and helps field personnel get out of the shop in the morning. Other duties may be assigned by the warehouse supervisor, General Manager, or CEO.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to accurately enter information into a computer.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and managers.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Responsibilities
- Pick up parts from supply houses and deliver them to job sites.
- Pick up parts and paperwork from field personnel as required.
- Coordinate routes and the pickup and delivery of materials with the warehouse supervisor.
- Help prepare materials for jobs as needed.
- Assist with monthly physical inventory.
- Help field personnel get out of the shop in the morning.
- Help ensure field personnel have what they need for their jobs.
- Check pricing on purchase orders.
- Communicate with suppliers.
- Check in products from suppliers when needed.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the warehouse supervisor, General Manager, or CEO.
