About The Position

The Parts Runner supports the dealership’s service and parts operations by delivering parts to technicians and other departments, assisting with inventory management, and helping ensure parts move smoothly through the dealership. The role requires communication, attention to detail, speed and accuracy, technical knowledge, time management, and safety awareness. The Parts Runner also helps keep the parts department organized and provides service to customers and technicians.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts and supplies to dealership departments, including the service department and other designated areas.
Ensure parts are properly packaged and labeled for transport.
Confirm orders are placed in the correct staging zones based on shipping schedules, routes, or carriers.
Deliver parts to technicians in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Pick up and return parts from local suppliers or other dealership locations as needed.
Help load orders onto delivery trucks.
Assist with stocking and organizing parts shelves and bins.
Help maintain accurate inventory records.
Cross-check orders to confirm items, quantities, and labels match shipping documents.
Ensure orders are packed and labeled correctly.
Identify and report discrepancies or shortages in stock.
Assist with receiving parts orders and locating stock.
Keep the parts department clean and organized by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors, and dusting parts bins daily.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager or Supervisor.
Provide friendly and efficient service to customers and technicians.
Answer phone calls and provide information as needed.
Assist customers with locating parts.
