About The Position

Carolina Custom Air, now part of Ace Hardware Home Services, is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer. The role installs HVAC systems in commercial settings while providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Installations include furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, piping, and gas lines, following manufacturer specifications and local codes. The position also involves working independently, maintaining safety and quality standards, documenting work, and interacting professionally with homeowners.

Requirements

EPA Universal Certification.
2–3 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
Valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of US driving experience.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to take direction from Leads and Supervisors.
Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality.
Commitment to following all safety rules and procedures.
Ability to work in confined spaces, including attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Ability to safely use tools and ladders.
Willingness to invest in and maintain required tools.
Professional demeanor and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, piping, and gas lines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
Assemble and install heating and air-conditioning units in commercial settings.
Perform installations independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Read and follow installation plans, layouts, and written instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
Interact professionally with homeowners to ensure a positive customer experience.
Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
