About The Position

The Parts Retail Sales Associate assists automotive technicians and retail customers with purchasing parts and accessories, aiming to deliver an exceptional buying experience and build customer loyalty. The role involves sourcing and pricing parts, handling customer inquiries, stocking inventory, maintaining the department, and supporting product sales through merchandising. Performance is measured by achieving parts sales and customer satisfaction targets. This is a commission-based position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
• One year of sales experience.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Promptly assist technicians and retail customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Obtain the correct parts and accessories for technicians and retail customers in a timely manner.
• Accurately price parts and accessories using the appropriate pricing source and enter the information into the correct document and computer system.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, making every effort to address callers’ inquiries.
• Stock incoming inventory in the correct location.
• Maintain a clean and orderly parts department.
• Provide customers with needed information and offer additional sales opportunities.
• Create and maintain merchandising displays to promote product sales.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
• Achieve parts sales targets and customer satisfaction targets.
