About The Position

The Parts Retail Sales Associate assists automotive technicians and retail customers with purchasing automotive parts and accessories, aiming to create an exceptional buying experience and build customer loyalty to AutoNation. The role includes helping customers find the right products, handling parts transactions and inventory, answering inquiries, and maintaining an orderly, customer-friendly department. This is a commission-based position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
• One year of sales experience.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and courteously assist technicians and retail customers.
• Obtain the correct parts and accessories for technicians and retail customers in a timely manner.
• Price parts and accessories accurately using the appropriate pricing source and record information in the proper documents and computer system.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, making every effort to satisfy callers’ inquiries.
• Stock incoming inventory in the correct location.
• Keep the parts department clean and orderly.
• Provide customers with needed information and offer additional sales opportunities.
• Create and maintain merchandising displays to promote product sales.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
• Achieve parts sales targets and customer satisfaction targets.
