About The Position

The Sales Porter is responsible for duties related to vehicle sales and upkeep of vehicles and dealership property. The role includes assisting customers and dealership personnel, maintaining vehicles and the lot, and completing other assigned functions and special projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet callers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving vehicles as directed by sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot.
• Pick up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related cleanup when necessary.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Complete other functions and special projects as assigned.
