The focus of the Parts Manager is to develop and maintain an environment that promotes a high level of Customer Enthusiasm, Employee Enthusiasm, Financial Performance, and Market Share. Essential duties and responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training parts employees; planning, assigning, and directing parts personnel; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; completing a summary of daily sales; managing parts inventory; conferring with the service manager for required shop inventory; approving parts inventory purchases and staying informed of all the latest innovations; acting as a liaison between the dealership and suppliers; setting stock levels and selection of items for weekly orders; inventory control including replenishment, stocking, cycle counting, and physical inventory; communicating well with management from Sales and Service departments; and being responsible for the profitability and marketing of the parts department and accessories.
