About The Position

Traction store counter sales employees support customers in the Heavy-Duty transportation and specialty aftermarket parts industry. They greet and assist customers, provide technical advice, promote current sales promotions, and help customers find solutions to their parts needs. The role also supports outside salespeople and performs other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Exceptional written and verbal customer service and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and strong personal drive.
• Willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced retail sales environment.
• Availability to work on weekends.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Heavy Duty parts background or knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with parts questions and needs in person or by telephone.
• Operate a cash register, computer, and paper cataloging systems, and process daily paperwork and forms.
• Communicate product features, benefits, warranty policies, and current sales promotions to customers.
• Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct and appearance.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and applications, provide technical advice, troubleshoot, and help solve customer problems.
• Provide sales support and process customer stock orders.
• Assist the outside salesperson as needed.
• Perform other associated tasks assigned by management.
