About The Position

Parts Counter Sales employees at Traction stores greet and assist customers, provide technical advice, promote current sales promotions, and support sales activities in the heavy-duty transportation and specialty aftermarket parts industry. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced retail sales environment.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with parts questions and needs in person or by telephone.
• Operate a cash register, computer, and paper cataloging systems; process daily paperwork and forms.
• Communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Communicate current sales promotions.
• Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct and appearance.
• Demonstrate product and application knowledge, provide technical advice, troubleshoot, and help solve customer problems.
• Provide sales support and process customer stock orders.
• Assist the outside salesperson as needed.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
