About The Position

Truck Centers, Inc. is hiring a customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative for its Hudson location, inside Nussbaum Transportation. The representative helps customers find commercial vehicle and equipment parts in person and by phone, using parts and technical resources and inventory systems. The role works day shifts Monday through Friday in a fast-paced setting and includes sales transactions, order coordination, returns, customer follow-up, and accurate data entry.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Thorough knowledge of basic computer operations and inventory control systems.
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision at times.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects, attention to detail, and a solution-focused outlook.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift or move up to 80 lbs. unassisted.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of parts sales experience is highly preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with parts sales over the counter and by phone.
• Look up parts and technical information, check inventory, and locate stock within the TCI network.
• Complete sales transactions accurately and promptly in accordance with company policies, including verifying signatures, credit cards, and customer identity.
• Schedule orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up and process them promptly.
• Issue credits for returned parts after verifying purchase details against original invoices or reference numbers.
• Follow up with customers about order status, provide estimates, and make routine sales calls to maintain customer relationships.
• Accurately enter part numbers to determine costs on repair orders.
