About The Position

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Counter Parts Sales Representative serves customers by phone or in person, selling heavy-duty parts according to customer needs and parts availability while contributing to company profitability. The role also involves helping customers identify appropriate parts, handling sales and returns under company procedures, and maintaining an organized, sales-supportive counter area.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate.
Intermediate knowledge of Windows XP, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Active listening skills.
Effective communication skills.
Time-management skills.
Persuasion skills.
Service orientation.
At least 2 years of sales experience.

Responsibilities

Determine and obtain heavy-duty parts requested by customers by phone or in person.
Suggest related parts to provide a full-service sale.
Locate and obtain ordered parts for customers from the central warehouse or branch.
Determine customer sales prices in accordance with company procedures.
Handle warranty or defective parts in accordance with company procedures.
Write up approved charge sales in accordance with company procedures.
Special order parts on an emergency basis when necessary and appropriate.
Process approved customer credits for returned merchandise.
Maintain confidentiality of pricing lists and structures as required by company procedures.
Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and product features.
Provide customers with current product catalogs.
Use non-selling and non-servicing time to study catalogs and review price sheets, bulletins, changes, additions, and deletions.
Keep the counter parts area clean and orderly.
Ensure display areas encourage sales.
