About The Position

Truck Centers, Inc. is hiring a customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to help customers find commercial vehicle and equipment parts in person and over the phone. The role involves working in a lively, fast-paced setting and using parts, inventory, and technical resources to meet customer needs. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a rotation every fourth Saturday.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Thorough knowledge of basic computer operations and inventory control systems.
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects, attention to detail, and a solution-focused outlook.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Ability to lift or move up to 80 pounds unassisted.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of parts sales experience is highly preferable.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with parts sales over the counter and by phone.
Look up parts and technical information, check inventory, and locate stock within the TCI network.
Complete sales transactions accurately and promptly while following company policies, including verifying signatures, credit cards, and customer identity.
Schedule orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pickup and process them promptly.
Issue credits for returned parts after verifying purchase details against original invoices or reference numbers.
Follow up with customers on order status, provide estimates, and make routine sales calls to maintain customer relationships.
Enter part numbers accurately to determine costs on repair orders.
