About The Position

Gill Chevrolet in Kerman is seeking a qualified and experienced Parts Counter Sales Person to join its expanding team. The Parts Counter Person provides vehicle parts and accessories to professional technicians and retail customers while delivering exceptional customer service. The role also supports parts inquiries, order fulfillment, inventory maintenance, product knowledge development, and upkeep of the service counter and stockroom.

Requirements

• Previous parts advisor experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with common automotive DMS systems.
• Understanding of basic automotive components and systems.
• Ability to provide exemplary customer service and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass background and drug screening to be considered for employment.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive dealership service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to customers and vendors.
• Process customer orders and recommend additional related repair items.
• Provide service advisors and technicians with timely parts pricing and availability information.
• Process and fill parts orders for technicians at the back counter.
• Develop product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components through available factory training to assist customers, advisors, and technicians.
• Assist with daily inventory and maintaining perpetual inventories.
• Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the service counter, work area, and stockroom.
