About The Position

The Parts Counter position assists customers with parts inquiries and purchases while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive or machinery industry.
Demonstrated customer service experience in a retail or parts environment.
Strong knowledge of automotive or machinery parts and components.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Proficiency with computer systems and software used for inventory and sales transactions.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail for accurate parts identification and order processing.
Ability to lift and handle heavy parts and equipment as needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience with inventory management systems and processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct parts and accessories for their needs.
Provide advice and recommendations on parts and accessories based on customer inquiries and requirements.
Process sales transactions accurately and complete the required documentation.
Maintain an organized, well-stocked parts inventory; conduct regular inventory checks and restock as needed.
Collaborate with service and sales departments to fulfill internal parts orders and support dealership operations.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and advancements in parts and accessories.
Handle returns and exchanges according to company policies while supporting customer satisfaction.
Assist with preparing and conducting parts promotions and sales events.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts counter area.
