About The Position

The Parts Coordinator issues parts for tractors and trailers at technicians’ request. When parts are not in stock, the coordinator orders the appropriate parts from vendors. The role involves recording all issued parts in the computer under the proper repair order, stocking delivered parts, and keeping the parts warehouse and office clean and orderly during the assigned shift. The coordinator also completes other tasks and projects as directed by the parts supervisor or maintenance manager, along with other duties assigned by management. The position is based at the Jackson, Mississippi Total Terminal and is scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The work environment is a normal office setting. The role requires normal eyesight and hearing; a driver’s license is preferred.

Requirements

Education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
Ability to use a computer and 10-key.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all employees.
Normal eyesight and hearing.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of prior parts experience preferred.
Driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Issue the proper parts for tractors and trailers as requested by technicians.
Order appropriate parts from vendors when they are not in stock in the Total parts department.
Enter all issued parts into the computer under the proper repair order.
Stock and put away parts delivered to the parts department during the assigned shift.
Keep the parts warehouse and parts office clean and orderly during the assigned shift.
Complete other tasks and projects as directed by the parts supervisor or maintenance manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
