About The Position
EquipmentShare is hiring a Parts Assistant for its rental facility in South Plainfield, New Jersey. The role manages parts inventory, handles orders, coordinates with vendors to ensure components are available for rental equipment, maintains accurate records, processes invoices, and supports internal service departments and external customers. The Parts Assistant may also prepare parts quotes for customers or internal teams and will pick up and deliver local parts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active applicable state driver's license.
- Clean driving record, as the position involves picking up and delivering local parts.
- Previous or current experience with budgeting.
- Knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets.
- Exceptional customer service, organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Must own tools applicable to the position.
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Experience in an equipment rental company.
Responsibilities
- Manage parts inventory, purchasing, and invoicing.
- Answer customer questions about parts availability and fulfill parts orders.
- Obtain and prepare parts quotes for customers or internal teams.
- Order and manage parts inventory for rental equipment.
- Coordinate parts inventory with manufacturers and communicate with vendors about company- and customer-owned equipment.
- Confirm invoice accuracy.
- Coordinate with Service departments and delivery schedules.
- Pick up and deliver local parts.
