About The Position

Hyundai of Covington Pike is hiring a Parts Advisor to support the dealership's service department and customers by identifying, sourcing, ordering, receiving, and managing automotive parts. The role involves customer and vendor communication, coordinating parts for vehicle repairs, maintaining inventory and records, creating invoices in ADP, processing payments and credit authorizations, and handling returns and warranties. The dealership describes the position as an opportunity to develop parts and inventory management expertise and contribute to customer satisfaction and service department performance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems.
• Ability to identify, source, and recommend the correct parts.
• Comfort using computer systems, catalogs, and inventory software.
• Previous parts department, automotive, or dealership experience.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner according to Incoming Telephone Call (ITC) standards.
• Communicate with customers and vendors by phone, in person, and email.
• Answer customer questions, check stock availability, and take parts orders according to the Initial Customer Contact (ICC) process.
• Maintain a clean and professional counter, work area, and stockroom.
• Coordinate parts for vehicle repairs and service with the Service Team.
• Order parts from suppliers based on service department and customer requests.
• Create accurate invoices in ADP.
• Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas.
• Check the quantity and condition of received goods against invoices and purchase orders, and verify quantities, unit costs, and total charges against records.
• Specify parts accurately.
• Take inventory, maintain records of goods received, and keep perpetual inventory controls.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Process core returns, parts warranties, and parts returns as necessary.
