About The Position
Prestige Toyota of Ramsey is hiring a Parts Advisor to provide vehicle parts and merchandise to customers while delivering exceptional customer service. The role works with the Service Team to coordinate parts for vehicle repairs and service, and reports to the Parts Manager. This is an on-site position in Ramsey, New Jersey.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of parts advisor experience; preferred.
- Understand basic automotive components and systems.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive dealership service experience.
- Automotive certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide vehicle parts and merchandise to customers while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Answer telephone calls and greet customers and vendors.
- Maintain a clean counter, work area, and stockroom.
- Coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service with the Service Team.
- Order parts from suppliers based on Service Department and customer requests.
- Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas.
- Take inventory, maintain records of goods received, and keep perpetual inventory controls.
- Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
- Process core returns, parts warranties, and parts returns.
