About The Position
Arrigo CDJR WPB, a member of Morgan Auto Group, is hiring a Parts Advisor. Experience is preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate. Parts Advisors earn an average of $50,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience. The role serves technicians and retail and wholesale customers, handles parts and sublet-work pricing and orders, and supports inventory control and parts operations.
Requirements
- Knowledge of automotive repairs and processes.
- Hardworking, team-oriented, and attentive to detail.
- Availability to work potentially Monday through Saturday.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive parts sales experience in retail or wholesale.
- Experience with Rey&Rey, CDK, or automated computer systems; this experience is ideal but not required.
- Prior experience is preferred, though training is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Provide fast and courteous service to technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers.
- List and price parts on repair orders and counter tickets.
- Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work from outside suppliers as needed, and obtain management approval.
- List and price sublet repair work on repair orders.
- Input inventory losses and sales into the inventory control system.
- Maintain records of special-order parts and notify the person who authorized an order when it arrives.
- Maintain a customer backorder file.
- Keep special-order parts inventory clean and orderly.
- Ensure technicians turn in defective parts required for warranty scrap and tag them appropriately.
- Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
- Help maintain parts catalogs, price schedules, technical information, and bulletins.
- Keep the work area clean, free of debris, and safe, and put away loose stock.
- Use parts catalogs proficiently and identify correct parts locations.
