Requirements
- Understand basic automotive components and systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Sense of urgency
- Excellent communication
- Mathematics – calculations of inventory, payments and invoices.
- Knowledge of automotive parts
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
- High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous parts advisor experience, a bonus
- Automotive dealership service experience is a plus
- Any automotive certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with Incoming Telephone Call (ITC) standards.
- Communicate with customers and vendors by phone, in-person or email.
- Assist customers by answering questions, checking stock availability, and taking parts orders.
- Maintain clean and organized appearance of counter, work area and stockroom.
- Work with Service Team to coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service.
- Order parts from suppliers based on service department and customer requests.
- Create accurate invoices in ADP.
- Receive, unpack and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are available when needed.
- Check quantity and condition of goods received against invoices and purchase orders. Check number and unit cost and total billing for charges against proper records.
