About The Position

Beyond Yoga is a premium active lifestyle brand founded in Los Angeles in 2005 and grounded in body positivity. It creates apparel for a broad range of workouts and activities and joined Levi Strauss & Co. in September 2021.

This temporary, part-time supervisor role supports Beyond Yoga’s NYC pop-up store from August to January. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Supervisor drives store processes and serves as manager on duty, including opening and closing the store. The role oversees cash handling and merchandise operations, supports customer issue resolution, coaches the team on selling and customer connection, and helps achieve store performance goals. The Supervisor also supports hiring and onboarding, fosters an inclusive work environment, helps build local community connections, and serves as a visible brand ambassador.

The position is located in New York, NY. The pay range is $18.80–$31.30 per hour, or the higher applicable local, state, or federal minimum wage. Actual pay may vary based on factors including qualifications, experience, skills, location, shift, performance, and business needs.

Requirements

• Progressive retail leadership experience and demonstrated skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform essential job functions and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of store processes and open and close the store as manager on duty.
• Manage cash handling and merchandise operations, including shipment processing, floor sets, markdowns, and replenishment, while maintaining standards.
• Help resolve customer concerns positively and partner with the Store Manager or ASM on elevated consumer issues.
• Supervise the team and provide consistent coaching on selling culture and customer connection to support high service and sales standards.
• Supervise the store team when another member of management is absent.
• Assess and strategize ways to achieve performance goals, including Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Sales Per Hour, and other measurable KPIs.
• Support onboarding for new hires.
• Build relationships and foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborate with the store team and Home Office partners on local community events that drive brand awareness and engagement.
• Create a compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling visible, high-quality service.
• Represent the brand and embody and cultivate the company’s core values.
