About The Position

The Department of Human Communication Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas: Public Speaking, Introduction to Communication Studies, Essentials of Argumentation, Introduction to Research in Communication Studies, Quantitative Research Methods, and Other courses listed under HCOM in the university catalogue. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Communication Studies or related field or equivalent experience.
• Prior teaching experience at the university level.
• Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
• Coursework or prior teaching experience in the particular course topic.

Nice To Haves

• Significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
• A record of professional writing and currency.
