About The Position

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach undergraduate courses in communicative disorders as needed in various subject areas. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

• A Master’s or PhD (i.e. M.A, M.S., AuD, PhD, EdD) degree in Communicative Disorders
• Prior teaching experience at the university level or at least 5 years of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
• Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist or Audiologist with ASHA-CCC and State of California Licensure.
• Must be available on very short notice.

• Bilingual SLPs for clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in communicative disorders.
• Teach courses in subject areas including Phonetics, Introduction to communicative disorders, Audiology and audiometry, Aural Rehabilitation, Speech/language disorders, Speech/language development, Sign language, Anatomy and physiology, Neurology and neurogenic communicative disorders, Clinical methods and procedures, and Clinical Supervision.
