About The Position

The Department of Finance at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas: Corporate Finance, Investment, Financial Institutions, International Finance, Real Estate, Risk Management and Insurance. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master Degree, ABD, PhD degree in Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the university level.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
  • Must be available on very short notice.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.
  • Must comply with the California Child Abuse And Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA).
  • Must disclose if they have received a final administrative or judicial decision determining they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years (at the appropriate stage of the application process).
  • Must sign a release form authorizing the release of information by current and/or former employers concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct (at the final stages of the application process).

Responsibilities

  • Teach in the subject areas of Corporate Finance, Investment, Financial Institutions, International Finance, Real Estate, Risk Management and Insurance.
  • Be available on very short notice for potential appointments.
  • Participate in performance evaluations which determine retention for future teaching assignments.
  • Potentially have syllabi, assignments, and reading material reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
