About The Position

The Department of Psychology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in various subject areas within the department. This is a pool of part-time lecturers from which the department will draw as needed. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions become available. Appointments from this pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term, requiring applicants to be available on very short notice.

Requirements

  • At least a Master’s degree in a field related to the curriculum of the Department of Psychology.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.

Nice To Haves

  • A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for teaching upper-division courses (300- or 400-level) and required for 500-level graduate courses.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • Evidence of strong teaching.
  • Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Professional capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory and advanced psychology courses.
  • Teach courses in subject areas including Introductory Psychology, Critical Thinking in Psychology, Introduction to Statistics, Research Methods, Learning and Memory, Sensation and Perception, Comparative Animal Behavior, Cognitive Psychology, Biopsychology, Educational Psychology, Human Sexual Behavior, Psychology and Law, Political Psychology, Black Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination, Personality Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Asian American Psychology, Latina/o/x Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, History of Psychology, Psychological Testing, Advanced Statistics, Health Psychology, Psychological Study of LGBTQ Experiences, Racial/Ethnic Health Psychology, Survey of Clinical Psychology, Group Psychotherapy, and Couples Therapy.
