About The Position

The Department of Management at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in various subject areas within Management. This is a pool from which the department will draw as needed. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions become available. Appointments from this pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term, requiring applicants to be available on very short notice.

Requirements

  • M.B.A. or Master’s Degree from an accredited U.S. institution or foreign equivalent; JD or Master’s degree in Legal Studies (or equivalent) from an ABA-Accredited U.S. Institution, for teaching courses in law/legal studies
  • Committed to ongoing professional development to maintain currency in the field
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students
  • Must be available on very short notice as appointments are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in Business or a related field
  • At least one (1) semester of experience teaching an undergraduate course in Management and/or Business Law at an accredited higher education institution
  • At least one (1) year of relevant industry experience
  • Preference will be given to those with at least one graduate degree from a program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
  • Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Preference will be given to those with current and on-going full-time relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Business Law (including various areas such as Entertainment Law, Internet Law, International Business Law)
  • Teach courses in Entertainment, Hospitality and affiliated areas (e.g. Music Business, Sports Management, Arts Management)
  • Teach courses in Entrepreneurship
  • Teach courses in International Business
  • Teach courses in Leadership
  • Teach courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Teach courses in Organizational Behavior
  • Teach courses in Human Resources Management
  • Teach courses in Strategic Management
