About The Position

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool in Portuguese to teach lower-division (100- and 200-level) undergraduate courses in Portuguese. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

• Hold at least a master’s degree in Portuguese or a related field.
• Possess native-like fluency in Portuguese.
• Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
• Have the legal right to work in the United States of America.
• Reside in the State of California at the time of hiring.
• Be available on very short notice.

• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower-division (100- and 200-level) undergraduate courses in Portuguese.
