About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Part-Time In-Home Veterinarian in the San Diego, CA area, including Chula Vista, El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Poway, and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and work-life balance, with a supportive community of veterinarians and professionals, ongoing training, and dedicated practice managers. The role involves an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day, allowing more time with families and less time on paperwork. Lap of Love is veterinarian-founded and owned, prioritizing both a fulfilling career and a balanced personal life.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Manage paperwork efficiently to allow more time with clients.
