About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Hamburg, Lancaster, Lockport, NY and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a balanced life, with a supportive community of veterinarians and professionals. Veterinarian-founded and owned, Lap of Love provides ongoing training, seasoned mentors, and dedicated practice managers to ensure veterinarians feel connected and supported while practicing independently.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Manage paperwork efficiently to allow more time with families.
