About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Part-Time In-Home Veterinarian in Sacramento, CA, and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and work-life balance. Veterinarians will practice with purpose, supported by a community of over 400 professionals, ongoing training, seasoned mentors, and dedicated practice managers. The role involves providing care during meaningful life moments, which is deeply appreciated and emotionally fulfilling.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
Valid U.S. driver's license
Availability to work some weekends
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
Manage paperwork efficiently to allow more time with families.
