About The Position

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applications for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in the Microelectronics Technology Department at the Rock Creek Campus. This pool is used to identify applicants for potential part-time faculty assignments, including substitute and full-term class assignments, as the need arises during the academic year. Requirements

  • Master’s of Science in Physics or Engineering OR Bachelor’s of Science in Physics or Engineering OR Associate’s of Applied Science degree required for employment in the semiconductor industry as an equipment technician.
  • Demonstration of teaching competency in the subject.
  • Two quarters of upper division coursework in the subject (if not holding a Master's or Bachelor's in Physics or Engineering).
  • Ability to teach concepts to students lacking relatable background.
  • Knowledge of material for Fundamentals in electronic and digital circuits (MT90, MT111, MT112, MT113, MT121, MT122).

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience is preferred.
