Part Time Faculty Interest Pool - Fire Protection Technology
About The Position
Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in the Fire Protection Technology Department at the Cascade Campus. This pool is used to identify potential candidates for part-time faculty assignments as course needs arise during the academic year, including substitute and full-term class assignments. PCC is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, committed to making high-quality education accessible and contributing to community economic development. The department is looking for individuals interested in contributing to a learning community focused on fire protection technology.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Fire Protection Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time recent teaching experience (including leading training and teaching skill-based techniques).
- Five (5) years recent experience as a career fire fighter OR Ten (10) years recent experience as a volunteer fire fighter OR an equivalent combination.
- Reside in Oregon or Washington.
- Establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Fire Protection Technology Department.
- Potentially teach substitute assignments or full-term class assignments.
- List current PCC courses that you would be able to teach as part of the application.
