Part Time Cleaner
About The Position
The Part Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The Cleaner also upholds operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and is cross-trained to support multiple store areas based on business needs. The position supports a positive customer and associate experience, helps maintain cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, responds to Front End coverage needs, and communicates effectively with management and Associates. The role requires physical stamina for cleaning duties, flexibility to respond to business needs, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.

- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot clean glass and windows.
- Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Uphold the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
