About The Position

The Part Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing a range of cleaning tasks throughout the store. The Cleaner follows operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards and is cross-trained to support other areas of the store as business needs require. The position supports a positive customer and associate experience, contributes to store recovery and organization, and communicates effectively with management and colleagues. It also requires following company policies and applicable labor laws, including meal and break-period policies.

Requirements

Excellent customer-service skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Capable of multitasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Capable of lifting heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer-experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
