About The Position

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of all facility areas to ensure a positive member experience. This is a non-supervisory, non-exempt role reporting to the Club Manager. The posting identifies the role as part-time, although its status line lists both full-time and part-time.

Requirements

Honesty and a good work ethic.
Ability to stand and walk for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to reach and feel with hands, fingers, and arms for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for less than 20% of the shift.
Ability to talk with members and staff for less than 30% of the shift.
Ability to lift over 100 pounds for less than 20% of the shift.
May encounter toxic chemicals for less than 30% of the shift.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the gym floor.
Stock locker rooms with appropriate paper products.
Report broken amenities or equipment, including toilets, showers, hair dryers, and gym equipment, to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead.
Immediately turn in lost member property to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead in accordance with Baseline Fitness’s lost-and-found policy.
Provide customer service that exceeds customers’ wants and needs.
Listen actively, empathize with customers, and work collaboratively to solve problems.
Recognize and define problems, analyze relevant information, consider alternative solutions, and seek additional assistance when needed.
Demonstrate tact and skill in interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
