About The Position

The Part Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized Marshalls store, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and performing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while following operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards. The Cleaner is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports business needs, including Front End coverage. The position also involves maintaining a positive customer experience and supporting a respectful, safe store culture.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
