Part-Time Cleaner
About The Position
The Cleaner maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing routine janitorial services at assigned locations. The role involves completing cleaning tasks according to company standards, client expectations, and safety procedures, while contributing to a positive and professional work environment. The Cleaner performs routine cleaning and sanitation in areas such as floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas; maintains cleaning equipment and janitorial closets; follows safety procedures; and communicates supply, equipment, maintenance, and safety concerns to supervisors. The role is based in warehouse, retail, grocery, or distribution environments. The position is part-time, with a graveyard shift, and may involve varying shifts and travel to assigned work locations based on business needs.
Requirements

- Must be able to work night shifts and travel to assigned work locations.
- Continually stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required.
- Regularly use a mobile phone for communication and work-related tasks.
- Have sufficient hearing and vision to safely perform job duties.
- Be willing to work varying shifts based on business needs.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and emptying trash.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces according to company standards.
- Replenish restroom and facility supplies as needed.
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, supply shortages, equipment issues, accidents, and facility concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures, properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment, and keep emergency exits, eyewash stations, and walkways accessible.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely, report malfunctions, and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and store assigned equipment after each shift; drain, clean, and charge equipment as required.
- Return tools, equipment, wet floor signs, mop buckets, brooms, and supplies to designated storage areas.
- Safely return propane tanks to the designated storage cage when applicable.
- Keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and stocked.
- Complete assigned checklists and documentation accurately.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members about assignments and operational concerns.
- Participate in walkthroughs with store management when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
