Parking Valet Attendant & Bellhop - Hotel
About The Position
Propark Mobility is hiring part-time Valet Attendants/Bellhops in John's Island, South Carolina, with morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays. The role involves greeting and thanking guests, parking and retrieving vehicles safely and promptly, inspecting vehicles before taking possession, and following company guidelines. Attendants maintain a professional uniform and guest-service approach, help resolve customer issues, and may assist with small cleaning or maintenance tasks and other special projects. The job is active and primarily outdoors, involving standing and walking throughout much of the day and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds or more as needed. Pay is $12.00–$13.00 per hour plus cash tips. Applicants must be at least 18 and have a valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience. The employer asks applicants whether they can drive a manual transmission and whether they have hospitality-industry experience.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver's license and at least two years of driving experience.
- Be energetic and outgoing, and be able to stand, run, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken language and interact with others in a friendly, professional manner.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and help resolve customer issues positively.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of valet parking experience.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission and hospitality-industry experience are asked about in the application questions.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests cheerfully and thank them sincerely when they leave.
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and in a timely manner.
- Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and follow company guidelines.
- Maintain the company uniform and provide friendly, professional guest service.
- Resolve guest issues in a positive and helpful manner.
- Complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks and special projects when requested by local management.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.
