About The Position
Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a full-time, school-based Paraprofessional in Brookside. The role includes supporting students with disabilities during bus transportation and helping with other school tasks when needed. Responsibilities
- Assist students with disabilities in safely boarding and exiting the bus.
- Ensure students are seated and properly secured during transit.
- Support students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus.
- Communicate with the bus driver and school staff about transportation issues or concerns.
- Attend to individual student needs, including personal care tasks when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures during bus incidents or emergencies.
- Help with other tasks in the school when needed.
