About The Position

CHEP is looking for motivated Pallet Repair Operators to join our Temple, TX team, 1st shift working Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. If you have experience using pneumatic nail guns and saws, can sweat through 8-hours of repetitive heavy lifting, and a have strong work ethic, a Pallet Repair Operator position with CHEP could be a great fit! The Pallet Repair Operator is responsible for the full assembly of pallets in a service center, using a pneumatic nail gun to repair all components. This individual places a pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place. In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired. Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of production tools such as pneumatic nail gun, or other relevant tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Lift and carry 78lbs at least 63% of work shift.
  • Push items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.

Responsibilities

  • Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.
  • Strive to meet daily production targets.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities in pallet construction.
  • Ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards throughout the process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
