This role is on the 1st shift, Monday-Friday from 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with a starting pay rate of $19.30 per hour. The Pallet Repair Operator will be responsible for repairing pallets using pneumatic tools, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This is a hands-on role in a busy, demanding environment where safety is the number one priority.

Requirements

  • Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks.
  • Ability to understand and communicate information.
  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • 2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast moving setting with industrial machinery

Responsibilities

  • Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.
  • Strive to meet daily production targets.
  • Drag/Pull pallets frequently – approximately 75lbs.
  • Utilize nail gun frequently- approximately 35lbs.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities in pallet construction.
  • Ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards throughout the process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Uses a pneumatic nail gun & reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
  • In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
  • Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time.
  • Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs.
  • Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
