About The Position

The Pallet Jack Operator is responsible for moving all palletized products to their designated area before being shipped to customers. The operator ensures product is available on the floor to maintain production flow and communicates with the supervisor about potential slowdowns due to lack of product. The Pallet Jack Operator may also assist in staging and loading products in preparation for shipment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds regularly.
• 6 months of work history in the last 12 months required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Must possess a strong attention to details.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required
• 6 – 12 months of previous experience operating a pallet jack is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from supervisor to keep product on the floor for production needs.
• Prepares pallets for handling items appropriately and be able to create combo Bins.
• Perform pre-checks of the pallet jack to ensure that it is in proper working order.
• Always Utilize Safe Practice habits when operating the pallet jack.
• Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.
• Consuming and Containerizing labels for product to ensure inventory is correct.
• Assist in the staging and loading of all Bell and Evans products in preparation for shipment.
