About The Position

CHEP is looking for motivated Pallet Sorter / Machine Operator to join our Temple, TX team on 1st shift. This role is essential to CHEP's operations, focusing on pallet repair and assembly line production. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery, preparing tools and equipment, ensuring seamless operations, and maintaining efficiency. Requirements

• Machine operating experience in an industrial setting.

• Familiarity with the operation and minor maintenance of production machinery.
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating a Bandsaw Machine or equivalent tool preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort pallets as they are moved from loading docks to sort line/area.
• Removes debris and trash from pallets.
• Determines which pallets may require repairs.
• Operate machinery essential to the pallet repair and assembly line production.
• Prepare tools and equipment for production and assembly line use.
• Ensure seamless operations and maintain a high level of efficiency.
• Monitor equipment functionality.
• Identify and address minor jams.
• Report larger issues to the preventative maintenance team.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
