About The Position

CHEP is looking for motivated Quality Control Auditors to join our Temple, TX team on 1st shift. This role is responsible for thoroughly inspecting pallets to ensure they meet quality standards and compliance regulations. The Quality Control Auditor plays a critical part in ensuring that our products are of the highest quality before they are provided to our customers. The ideal candidate has quality experience in an industrial setting, can handle repetitive heavy lifting for 8-hour shifts, and possesses a strong work ethic. The role involves working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures, requiring standing for long periods and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Inspect pallets for defects, damages, and inconsistencies in materials or assembly.
Utilize tools and equipment to correct minor issues and verify dimensions, weight, and other quality parameters of pallets.
Identify and document any deviations from quality standards.
Communicate inspection results and quality issues with production teams and supervisors.
Adhere to PCP standards and guidelines.
Partner with the Quality Lead to ensure plant compliance of quality practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide support during audits and inspections.
Lift and carry 77 lbs at least 33% of their work shift.
Push items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet.
Pull items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
