Experienced Paintless Dent Repair Tech, PDR (Day Shift) $8,000 Bonus
About The Position
Carvana is hiring an experienced Paintless Dent Repair Technician for its vehicle reconditioning operation in Manville, New Jersey. The role involves repairing dents on steel and aluminum vehicle panels using advanced glue-pulling techniques, performing hail repair, repairing creases and body lines, and addressing larger dents. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Saturday overtime as needed. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The posting gives an hourly pay range of $18.00–$35.00 based on experience and skill level, and separately lists a range of $28–$36 per hour. Sign-on bonuses are listed as $6,000 for Level 2 mid-level technicians and $8,000 for Level 3 high-level technicians. The job is performed in a high-tech vehicle inspection center and requires working in a fast-paced production environment, sometimes with exposure to hot or cold weather. Applicants must pass a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional automotive paintless dent repair experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
- Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Pass a complete background check.
